Redneck Parade

You're curious aren't you. Okay it wasn't officially called a "Redneck Parade" but really that is what it was. I believe it was a "House Hop". Apparently it's something they do every year on our street. Everyone decorates their golf carts and rhinos. Ian went and got the Jeep and he and Teagan put Christmas lights on it and waited for sundown.

At dusk we were all to meet at a house down the street. When it was time we took a nice slow drive down the street. On the way we saw many people getting their vehicles ready. Everyone would wave. It's important to note that we never drive down our street. There is not reason to. It's a dead end. We had no idea how long the street was or how many houses there were.


We got to the host house chatted for a bit. Realised there was hardly anyone that we actually knew. As everyone started pulling up it became clear our poor jeep was severely under dressed. Oh well next year we will do a bit more decorating. We had some enchiladas and chased Jade around. Teagan played with some kids that were there. Santa showed up and passed out goodies. Then it was time for the parade.




Luckily because Teagan kept jumping back in the jeep excited to go. He had a big container of candy and all he could think about was throwing candy to kids along the way. People lined the road with their lawn chairs. Teagan did find a few kids to throw candy to. One of which was a little girl from his class. Me being my nervous self was ready to have a heart attack because the people in front of us couldn't seem to drive. Three things that shouldn't go together a man in an elf costume a rhino and beer.



We only went to two houses before going home. Jade had fallen down a small set of stairs and it was her bedtime. Teagan was very upset. He really wanted to keep going. It was a cute idea though and fun.
