He Is Adorable

Chicken Contradiction

I labeled these photos contradiction because this is Jade playing with the chickens.  She was giving them saw dust which she thought was the greatest thing int he world.  I let her wear some pjs that were given to Gauge.  Thanks Angie I'm getting more use out of them than you would have imagined.  Mostly I just put these up because Jade is cute in the pictures.

Scary Chickens!

Yes the little girl who loves nothing more than to go outside and see the chickens is scared of cartoon chickens.  The only thing we have found that she is scared of so far is pigs.  She doesn't like them and I don't blame her.  To be fair they are giant chickens.  We go out to dinner as a family to Popeye's.  We walk in and Jade hides her face in my chest.  I thought nothing of it at first but then realized she wasn't resting and she wasn't about to lift her head.  She mentioned the scary chickens and I had not clue what she was talking about.  Then she pointed.  Oh the giant chickens on the wall.  I thought she was just being silly but she was actually shaking.  We all got a good laugh about it at her expense.  Poor thing.  Hmm looking now I see they are fire breathing chickens.  I guess that could be scary.

Gauge in January

He is getting so big.  Gauge is by far our chubbiest baby.  We call him our fat baby.  Teagan brought home a book the other day.  The brother and sister in it were calling eachother names and the brother called her a fat baby.  We were laughing so hard.  He smiles all the time.  I love going in when it's time to wake him up.  I rub his little chest and he sleepily opens his eyes.  It takes him a moment to know I'm there but when he does see me I'm rewarded with a big grin followed by some adorable stretching. We all enjoy him so much.

What's in your garden?

I've got kids in mine.  I have been making sure we get outside everyday.  Jade really just needs to be outside.  She gets roudy and unhappy if she is cooped up for too long.  So we try to go out and play the same time everyday.  She feeds the chickens any scraps I have for them or weeds or sand or really just anything she can find.  She eats out of the garden.  Helps me plant stuff, plays on the swings, the slide.  Chalks the sidewalks.  She has lots of fun.  Jade is definately in here element outside.  I included some garden pictures.  My friends that are missing your seasons pay close attention.  There are not many places that you can have tomatoes in January.  Plus we are happy to have you here with us.

You can't see me!

Take a good look at this picture.  What do you see?  I'm afraid the title of the post kind of gives it away.  Ian got his new ghillie suit.  We each have a sort of allowance.  I certain amount of money that we can do whatever we want with each month.  Ian's for the past six months has been used for hunting stuff.  Guns, ammo, ghillie suits.  Please don't think I'm complaining.  It's his money and he can do with it whatever he likes but this one was just funny.  He put it on and I just laughed.  I made him go outside and hide in the bushes so I could take pictures.  I call it swamp thing.  He is so happy he can get his hunting stuff he just dreamed of before.  I'm posting this late.  It's actually February now.  He spent the first week of February sewing.  Yes sewing netting onto his ghillie suit so he could add lighter strands of jute into it.  He is dedicated.  I think it's awesome that he has a hobby he enjoys so much that he would actually SEW.  Love you swamp thing!

Big Sister Little Brother

Jade loving her brother.  He is almost as big as her now.  At the end of this time he started crying.  I thought Jade would get upset too or push him off but she stayed calm and said, "It okay baby!".  While she patted him.  Too cute!

Pretty Princess

Jade got a princess dress up kit from her Great Grandparents.  We haven't been able to get her to put on a whole costume yet but she loves each piece individually.  Teagan was helping her get her princess stuff on.

Too cute!
