Flag Football Awards Dinner

We almost forgot about Teagan's flag football award dinner.  We were so excited about the college tour we nearly missed it.  Teagan had fun playing with his friends.  Jade and Gauge enjoyed it too.  All the boys got these really cute trophies.  We are so grateful to his coaches this year.  They were really great.  Can't wait for next year.

College Tour

Teagan got to take a tour of Palo Verde College with CAVA (Califonia Virtual Academies).  First he got some goodies.  A bag from the college with some stuff in it.  He loved this pirate ship that was in the food court.  Being there made me really want to go back to school.  I got to point out to Teagan where I took my history classes and such.  It helped me make a decision.  Although I already graduated from Palo Verde College I'm going to take a class each semester toward Accounting or Psychology.  I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up.

They took us around to each of the buildings and showed the kids everything.  Our group was so shy.  Teagan really liked the Lucus Oil building.  They had a wood shop in there where play houses were being built.  In the auto shop he got to get inside a race car.  They had a couple in there.  They also had the Christmas parade float they were working on for the college.  It was a pirate ship of course.  They welded the body of the pirate ship to an actual car rather than having it on a trailer.  It looked like it was going to be really cool.  Teagan couldn't wait to see it in the parade.  After the tour I took Teagan back over to the food court to get an ice cream.  Go Pirates!

Last Game

This was Teagan's last game of the season.  He got to play against his buddy Clay's team.  They did well.  Teagan seemed to be putting it all together.  It made me wish there were more games.  Jade was a pretty good cheerleader for Teagan.  Gauge wanted to be on the field but we kept him distracted with snacks and grandma.  Good job Teagan.  We are proud of you sticking to it and playing to the end.

Homecoming 2010

What to say about homecoming?  I wasn't thrilled to go but then I remembered what it was all about.  Friends.  It was so great to see everyone.  The wonderful thing about living in a small town is you know absolutely everyone you went to highschool with.  Homecoming means a lot here because it's about people and you may not love our town but you have to love the people in it.  Every homecoming you get to see those people that have moved away and even the ones here that you just don't see that often.  This was my 15 year reunion.  Class of 95 Woooooooo!  Okay that's enough of that. 

Esther Rice and Thereza DeLaO and several others worked really hard on getting things together.  Everyone looked great on the float with their matching shirts.  I'm standing on the street with Ian and the kids wearing the same shirt taking this picture.  After the game everyone went to the VFW for the reunion party.  Below is Thereza, myself and April.  There are two cameras.  Thereza and I are looking at the one Ian is holding and April is looking at the one Esther is holding.  We had just said cheese like 12 times hence the look on April's face.  She is all cheesed out.

I was sad the rest of our gang wasn't there but there were plenty of people to catch up with.  It would take me forever to name them all here.  It was a nice night after all.  Jeff Byrd and his wife Nina came to visit all the way from Germany.  She is a sweetheart and we are so happy that Jeff found someone so wonderful.  He certainly deserves it.  Afterwards we went to McD's with April, Jeff and Nina.  We decided there that we were too old and tired to go to the after party.
