Day 2 we got ourselves ready. Ian took some luggage and went to check out. Once we were ready to go the kids and I got a picture together in the hotel room.
He had breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. I had no idea my kids were so shy. My goodness they wouldn't talk to any of the characters. Jade wanted to see them until they got close and then she wouldn't have anything to do with them. Gauge doesn't like animals and he really didn't like they huge animals that walked around on two feet. He was especially terrified of Baloo. He stay long enough to let me snap this picture and then he moved away because Gauge was pretty upset and he was two seats away from the bear.
Jade wanted to go dance with Goofy but he was to shy so she just watched him dance.
Belle came and talked to Jade. I felt kinda bad that my kids didn't know who most of these characters were. We don't have tv so unless we actually put the movie in they don't see Disney movies. We don't have very many of them and the kids don't really watch many full length movies. Mostly tv shows on disc or netflix. Next time before we go to Disneyland we are having a Disney movie marathon the week before.
Sweet.
Jade didn't know who Chip was but she knew she liked him.
Really I had no idea my kids were so shy.
I just love the big hat.
We stayed in the Dreams tower this time. They remoded them and did a really good job.
Okay so at this point you say, "What that's it?" Yep pretty much. I took a picture of the birds of paradise below and then it started raining and it was raining really hard. We ducked into a shop to wait out the rain. It wasn't slowing down so we bought some panchos. By the time we got to the gates to by tickets the kids were soaked even with the panchos and the protection of the stroller. It was a hard decision but we decided not to go. The kids were just to little to stay wet all day and most of the rides they would enjoy are outdoor rides. We were sad.
Since we didn't spend money on the tickets and because we felt bad we weren't going to Disneyland again like we were supposed to we decided the kids could get something really cool for a souvieneer. Teagan and Ian went to build a remote control car and Gauge and Jade and I went to find something for her. All Jade wanted was a polly pocket time Little Mermaid set. We met Ian and Teagan and they were still building the car. It turn out pretty awesome. The kids really had great attitudes. They understood that it was raining too hard. The rain followed us all all way back to Blythe.
The good news is we are resolved to go back and soon. We are going to sit down as a family and budget for the next trip. Can't wait! This was Ian and my first time since we were kids and I think we had both only gone once and it was our kids first time. It won't be their last though. :)
